Can an AI worker use Salesforce without replacing your CRM?
Keep your CRM and connect the work around it. A proposed renewal-document job shows how a Worker can use Salesforce, other tools and human review.

A renewal request lands in your inbox with a PDF attached. The customer’s history is in Salesforce. A separate portal holds another part of the answer. Before anyone can move the request forward, someone has to bring those pieces together.
That is where the question becomes practical: can AI do the work using the systems you already have?
Yes. An AI Worker can use Salesforce without replacing your CRM. We build Workers to work with any tool your business uses, through API connections or browser use. Human verification is the main exception to fully unattended access; some steps still need a person, and ID.me has been a limitation in our experience.
The starting point is the work you want done. Salesforce can stay where it is, with the records and processes your team already relies on. The Worker brings the surrounding information and actions together so that one job can move from its initial request to a result someone can use.
Here is what that looks like, including a proposed insurance renewal-document job and the decisions that make it useful.
Do you need to replace Salesforce to use an AI worker?
No. Using a Worker does not require moving your customer records out of Salesforce or adopting a new CRM. Your team can continue working in its existing system while the Worker handles responsibilities that involve it.
An API is a way for software to request information or perform an action in another application. Salesforce provides documented interfaces for finding, creating and updating records, working with related information and carrying out other operations. Its REST API reference describes those capabilities.
Frequently asked questions

Does the Worker need a Salesforce administrator account?
An administrator may need to help establish access, but the Worker’s ongoing permissions should match its job. Salesforce requires API access for API use. We define the records and actions the Worker needs and arrange the appropriate access with your team.
Do we need an existing connector for every tool?
No. We build the connection around the tool and the job, using its API or browser interface. A missing prebuilt connector does not rule out the tool. We also account for any human verification step the workflow requires.
Can the Worker update Salesforce without asking every time?
Yes, when you have delegated that action under the job’s rules. You can require approval for other changes. In the renewal example in this article, customer-record changes are reviewed before they are applied.
What happens while a person is reviewing something?
The step requiring that decision waits for the answer. Work that does not depend on it can keep moving. The question, relevant context and proposed next step go to the assigned reviewer so the affected work can continue once they respond.
Evidence note: Salesforce capabilities and access requirements are linked to its public documentation. The any-tool commitment and the experience with human verification and ID.me describe Taurist’s service position and reported experience, not an independent test of every application. The renewal example is illustrative; it does not claim a completed customer deployment, measured results or a compliance determination.
